How odd is the phrase “It’s growing on me?” I mean – what exactly is growing on you? To me, personally, it brings up images of things actually, physically, literally, growing on you. Like warts.
How did saying “I guess I might be getting used to it” turn into “It’s growing on me” ??
Not only does the actual phrase not really make any sense, but I often find myself translating it quite literally into Danish – which really, really does not make any sense.
